Job Persistence is Key!

Depending on long you have been searching for a job, your enthusiasm and determination to find the job you want or need desperately, may be waning. The key to making this work and not falling under the bus or being emotionally trampled by the rigors of finding a job is PERSISTENCE!

You can do this! You will do this! You only need to find the right tools and techniques for finding a job and apply them without hesitation! And that is where I come in. Think of me as your Resume Coach (only I won't be charging you those high fees I charge the clients in my neck of the woods)

Your job is only to keep your head held high and believe with fierce determination that your Dream Job is just around the corner!

"Our greatest Weakness lies in Giving Up. The most certain way to Succeed is Always to try just one more time"

- Thomas B. Edison

If that was Good ole Tom's philosophy, then it is good enough for you too!

Finding a job is like a baby walking, there is No stopping, there is No resting, there is No giving up until the result is achieved!

Here are 4 Simple Steps to Help you Develop Persistence as a Way of Life:

1. You must have a clear Goal in mind, write it down, let the emotion and fever of the goal swell in your very soul. You must want this goal so very badly that it seeps into the subconscious mind which directs all behavior. And Be Specific too! For your Job goal, write down what industry you want to find work in, what specific company, maybe even a specific person that would be your ideal boss. Get that magic paycheck number down on paper too, don't settle, for right now say "I want X number of dollars each and every week!"

2. Design Your Plan of Action! Do at least one thing everyday towards the accomplishment of the above goal. And don't say yes, yes, I already know that - go out and buy one of those little cheap 7 day calendar sheets (or design something on your computer ) and make yourself accountable to have something of importance regarding your goal written down on it each day. Don't worry if some of the later steps are vague or unknown, they will become more clear as time goes on.

3. Completely reject any and all negative criticism that is thrown your way, stay on your path, as always consider constructive suggestions ( but you know the difference between the daggers and the true help). Absolutely refuse to give attention to any obstacles that may appear to be in your path. Fences can be climbed over, dug under or even sometimes go through a door that wasn't seen from the distance. I specialize in finding "hidden doors".

4. Above all find one Person who Believes in You and soak up all the good things they have to say. Studies have found that all successful people have had this one Believer whose unwavering faith led to the accomplishments of goals both big and small!
